ArenaNet Offers More Details on Upcoming Guild Wars 2 Content
Icebrood Saga is entering its final phase but it will be spread over a period of more than six months, through four chapters. ArenaNet now gives us a glimpse of the content that is just around the corner.
Maybe Jormag’s shenanigans were just a ruse and the frozen dragon is just terrified of his peer, Primordus, or it may just be a ruse to get us to fight the fiery. Either way, we don’t have much of a choice since Destroyers are popping up all over Tyria and their fight seems to be the focus of the first chapter of the Icebrood Saga finale, named Champions – Truce.
The truce part in the name refers to Jormag and Ryland appearing to aid the commander in the fight against Primordus, who suddenly appears to be the most immediate threat.
Fighting the flaming dragon will have several aspects and the dragon response missions are one of them. Located in Brisban Wildlands, Gendarran Fields, and Metrica Province, these repeatable activities will allow players to protect civilians, defend the area, and take out dragon minions, including a champion.
The Order of the Crystal Bloom will apparently be one of our first allies as we will be focusing on their training and equipment in order to fight Primordus. This will offer rewards and faction members will join the aforementioned Dragon Response Missions to aid the Commander. Other factions will also be ready to join the fight.
Dragon Slayer Mastery Track will be available as soon as new content comes out on November 17, 2020. It will help us grant buffs after dragon minions drop perks and allow us to purchase Dragon Slayer weapon recipes in Eye of the North.
Dragon Slayer weapons aren’t the only additions we’ll have as Volcanic Stormcaller, Crystal Bloom Ax and more are on the way. In short, there is a ton of new content that Guild Wars 2 players will be able to enjoy properly, without Cyberpunk 2077 monopolizing our time.
Oh, and as a reminder, episodes 3 and 4 find their voice again.
