We’ve had some really nice weather here lately and everyone seems to be slowly falling into summer mode as school reaches its year end and all the outdoor farmer’s markets and festivals are beginning. I’m soaking it all in. We’ve already had a couple backyard dinner parties and I’ve started taking Hemsley to the outdoor pools which she absolutely loves. They say “the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree”, and it’s definitely true. Hemsley is showing more and more traits similar to her mama including her stubbornness (lol!), persistence, and serious love for all things warm, sunny, and summer.

Hemsley in her toddler stage has definitely developed a love for fruit, sweets, and “dessert” (which is usually coconut yogurt topped with fresh berries and maple syrup). Because the summer season always comes with delicious cold treats like ice cream, popsicles, and blended delights I’ve been looking up some tasty, healthier (and dairy free) options for her, and me of course. I recently shared a roundup of healthy dairy free ice cream recipes and today I’m sharing 10 healthy popsicles recipes to try this summer.

The Best Popsicle Molds:

One question that often comes along with popsicle recipes is about popsicle molds. What are the best popsicle molds? There are lots out there and many different styles and for your average, run-of-the-mill fruit popsicle you can go with a simple plastic popsicle mold like this one, which is practical and does the trick. But for my ultimate pick, I prefer a silicone model as the “best popsicle mold” because the popsicles can be removed much easier from the mold rather than having to wait for your popsicle to melt a little before releasing like you would with a plastic mold. If you want to get fancy or do mini popsicles that have a more round shape you can try a smaller silicone mold like this one or one with fun shapes like these. Silicone is also more durable and environmentally friendly than plastic.
