I am very happy with their service. Nancy designed all the closets of my new home plus the pantry. She listened to what I want it and it came out perfect. The installation crew was excellent, they did the job pretty fast and accurately. I recommend this company, they were great!

This place is the worst. We worked with Nancy who was great at selling the design and then gave us an install date 2.5 months later. Of course they take 50% deposit to keep your place in line for install. They came to install on Jan 9th 2023 and didn't have all of the materials. They rescheduled a few times and came back on Feb 7th and still missing materials. No concept of how to run a business at all.

Excellent from start to finish. The price was reasonable and the quality of the work and the product itself was as expected. They forgot a belt rack, but once I contacted them to let them know, they scheduled a time to come out right away to resolve the problem. Would definitely recommend them.

I have now used Jill from Closets by Design to do 3 closets in my home. She was beyond professional, knowledgeable and amazing at creating the perfect space for my family. She really listened to our individual needs and made several suggestions as to what would work. Her measurements were spot on. Her recommendations about color and style were fabulous. She was never pushy and actually tried to save me money where possible. She knew exactly where to spend the money and where to cut back. Jill answered every email and/or text in a timely fashion and always made herself available offering to come back to show me additional wood colors etc. The workers showed up on time, Worked super hard all day and got the job done a few hours later. Overall, my experience with Jill and Closets by Design was amazing and I have already and will continue to recommend to friends and family.

From start to finish, the professionalism and workmanship were top-notch. Designer Bonnie created practical, efficient and beautiful spaces for my home that have held up beautifully over the years. Installation went smoothly. Bonnie is a pleasure to work with. She has a great eye and creative ideas. I highly recommend!

We have used Closets By Design three times and would highly recommend them. Our first project was for a complete renovation of a large master walk-in closet. It was a challenging space, but design and workmanship was top-notch. We were extremely pleased. This was close to 15 years ago, and the materials have held up beautifully. The second project was a few years later - a redo of a small closet, and we were happy with this, as well. Our most recent project was a custom organization system for the mudroom. It was perfectly designed and we are thrilled with the results. Should any other projects arise, we would not hesitate to use them again.

First of all I am still waiting today for the worker to show up for the third time to complete the project. The first time they were late and were out of the house in ten minutes because they said the designer’s design was not consistent with the measurements of the area or did not take into both crown molding and base molding. Keep in mind the designer was at my home prior to this and completed her measurements before she left. Also, Dennis the lead installer told me she had designed the closet to go past the crown molding but they don’t cut into crown molding, so they left. Well, five days later they were back and my biggest mistake was not checking in on them more regularly so I own that but they took a four foot section of my white crown molding and replaced it with a birch colored molding which is the color of the cabinet . On one day the workers can’t cut into the molding and the next they take the whole piece down now I have two different moldings in the same room. Also, the master is a small room so every inch counts and upon completion there is an 1/8 inch gap between the cabinet and the back wall. Now, they just called me and told me they will be late again and the cabinet doors which have not been cut correctly yet weren’t again today so, I still don’t have doors, Dennis tells me they have to go back to the factory and have them cut again. What a nightmare, use them at your own risk !!

GREAT! I wanted drawers put into an alcove in a walk-in closet where I previously had stashed an old bureau to store sheets & towels. The sales person was competent, on time and efficient. The installer OSCAR was POLITE, on time and cleaned up afterward. Showed me the finished products and how drawers operated and made sure I was satisfied with the result. It looks beautiful. I AM VERY HAPPY.

Had a jerry-rigged shelving arrangement in a small spare room. Vacuums and brooms kind of leaned agains the front and everything was exposed. Looked pretty terrible. Ready made storage cabinets were too deep and wouldn't fit in the space. Saw and ad for Closets by Design in local paper and decided to call. Had checked with Angie's list under storage cabinets and their name didn't appear. Was surprised to find them in the last monthly magazine. Evidently using the term "cabinet" was incorrect and "closet" would have found them. I lost an Angie's list price reduction. A cross reference might be helpful. Anyway. My call was answered by a friendly woman who sent out a rep. that very evening. A nice surprise to discover that they were located in the same town in which I live. Stacey came by, listened to my "dream" and said sure no problem. She measured and quickly drew up a plan. Materials were chosen and a date for installation made. Dennis and Jose came on the appointed day and time. They were friendly, intelligent and lost no time putting together the cabinet. They were amenable to an alteration to enable an electrical Surge bar to be inserted in the cabinet to plug in a paper shredder and some other equipment that would be stored within. They worked efficiently and cleaned up any mess. I am VERY happy with the result. The mishmash of cleaning products, and equipment is now neatly hidden away and I've even gained more space in the room because of the organization. THANK YOU CLOSETS BY DESIGN.

10/12/15 Amended review: I initially posted a negative review given CBD's initial management of my order. After I posted the review. I was contacted by Daniela and she made sure the situation was remedied. They provided a courtesy refund for all the frustration/inconvenience previously caused and they sent very professional people - Ralph and Vincent. Ralph was professional and meticulous and reworked all of the problem issues. He fixed all the uneven pieces and replaced the chipped ones. He came multiple times to ensure that the quality is up to par. Vincent did a great job bringing back the walls to their initial state after they were damaged by the previous installer and made sure everything was done right and clean when he left. I love my closet now and the review would have been an "A" hadn't it been for all the back and forth and initial disappointing performance. Thank you Beth for the creative design.... Making my downsizing less painful. Thank you Daniela for the coordination and going above and beyond (including dropping off an empty paint container) to ensure this is remedied and restore faith in your company again!! Thank you Angies list for this great forum giving consumers a powerful voice!!

Carlos and his team were exceptional. I had received quotes from a few companies and not only did Carlos have very competitive prices, he spent a good deal of time understanding the function and design that made the most sense for me and provided me digital design renderings within 2 days via e-mail to make sure what we spoke of was envisioned. I have since used Carlos for other projects and I hope to use him for a fourth project in the near future. Definitely give Carlos the opportunity to bid on your custom closet solutions. I'm happy I did.

Very pleasant salesperson, responsive and friendly. Arrived exactly on time. Her estimate, however, was 50% higher than the company we chose. This was also the only design of 3 companies that was on paper instead of computer. I didn't mind this, it was not a deal-breaker. The price was. When she left, she said she'd be able to work with me on price if the other companies came in lower, but she had already given us a 40% "discount" (you know, the one they give everyone) plus another small discount for Angie's list. So it just seemed like a pie-in-the-sky number to me.

Excellent. She came up with suggestions. I was really impressed. Deborah Golden who came out was very knowledgeable. She was excellent.

Everything went smoothly. Joan came to our house and discussed several options with me. I am easy to work with and not picky, so the process was quick. Joan scheduled the installation one week later-- I was very happy since we just moved to this house and wanted to unpack our clothes soon. The two men that came to install our walk-in closets were very hard working.. They did a great job. One of the drawers did not fit and they scheduled to return a week later. I had a great experience and would use this company again.

It didn't go well and I wouldn't recommend them. At 2pm yesterday I received a call to confirm my installation today. The installer was to arrive between 9 and 11am. At 9:45am the installer showed up and informed me that my drawers weren't with him, they weren't done. He said that they might get finished before he was done installing, and if so they would be dropped off to him while he was here. That didn't happen. He tried to call the shop repeatedly while here and no one answered. So he left. It seemed to me he was leaving to go to the shop and return with the drawers. I was wrong. After waiting here for 2 hours, I received a call from Lenna, the scheduler. She can get them here tomorrow morning or next Saturday, or sometime this week if I can take another day off. I can't, and I have other appointments tomorrow that cannot be rescheduled. I indicated that had they told me yesterday while confirming my appointment that drawers weren't ready, I would have said "reschedule for a day when everything can be installed". Instead, they confirmed and didn't deliver. So now I have them scheduled to come between 8 and 9 am tomorrow. Meanwhile, I took a day off of work for this to be installed and they can only say, "Sorry." As I stated on the phone with Lenna, "That's fine that you're sorry, I have 3 other closets that I need done and I'm not inclined to use your shop for any of them." That's 10,000 they're losing out on in this house, and I hope any of you reading this think twice before using them. Update: 1. Amanda, my salesperson did everything she could to make this better. She's great. 2. Despite being told the installers would be here as close to 8 as possible, they showed up at 8:55 am and didn't leave until 10:25am. I was late for every appointment I had scheduled for the rest of the day. Luckily, I was able to accomplish most of what I needed to get done.

Generally things were fine, about what I'd expect. Pricing was comparable to other vendors for this service. the sales process was easy. The work was done in my son's closet. He's not complaining, but he's only 3. The tech was efficient in his build-out to get done in 4 hours or so and the results look great. As I have a need for more of this (which I will), I'd go right back to them again instead of shopping around.

After I checked Closets by Design on Angie's List, I agreed to go ahead with the project. Gave them a 50% deposit and we agreed on an installation date. The closet was installed by two very capable guys who were professional and pleasant. The quality of the product is as promised and we are very pleased with its functionality as well as its looks. Would highly recommend Closets by Design.

The price was OK given the competing quotes. The designed was kind of stubborn in pushing for her design whereas I liked the design of the competitors more. The amount of push back of this designer was a bit too much, which was validated in retrospect since I installed my preferred design and her concerns have not proven to be accurate. That said - consider calling this company for a price competitive quote. Maybe you will like their design more than I did.

I like the work Closets by Design, (NJ), did for me. The results were nice. They came out and talked about the different closets and stuff. I like their work and that they worked with me and what I needed.

Joan came one night, exactly on time and planned all closet changes we requested. She came again a week later to discuss finalized plans and prices, and make final choices of materials. She scheduled installation for 2 weeks later. Installation team was fast and clean, and neat and did an excellent job. I would definitely use them again.

.The design visit went well. Layla spent a fair amount of time measuring carefully and advising on what I needed. She even dissuaded me from additional items that I was considering and she was right. She then spent an hour or so drawing up the plans meticulously.and presented the drawings with a cost estimate. About four weeks after I had accepted it the closet was built in less than a day. This could have been done at an earlier date but I could not accommodate the installers schedule as i was traveling. The installers did an excellent job. The measurments must have been very precise as everything fitted very well. The installers were careful and cleaned up after the job, leaving no marks or trash. I am very pleased with the end result. The closet is just what I needed and I still have additional storage space if I need it. I think that the price was a little on the high side but given the quality of installation and cabinetry, I can't really complain.

Excellent, timely service and Richard Siewert and his crew were great to work with. Very professional responses and follow-ups prior to the actual day of the closet installations. On the day of the installation, they arrived in a timely manner and installation was perfect. They also cleaned-up the area once installations were done.

The experience was very good. They called me back and showed up on time; I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

My experience with Closets by Design was extremely positive. The designer, Joan did a great job of creating closets that met the storage needs of my family. She was prompt and responsive. The installation was very smooth. The guys showed up on time, worked quickly and were very profession. I would certainly hire this company again.

It was very good. The designer came out and laid out the space and then it was installed. They basically followed the plan. They were very detail-oriented and completed the job timely. The quality of their product is better than most of the other smaller companies in the area. They have a lifetime warranty on the workmanship and the material. I guess they were a little bit busy so they were a bit delayed.
