FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

What is almond bark?

Almond bark typically comes in a 1-pound package. It’s a white candy melt that you can use to coat just about anything. You can use other things listed above instead of almond bark if you need to. If you’ve never purchased it before, you will usually find it in the baking aisle, usually near the chocolate chips.

What size crock pot should I use?

This recipe was tested using a 4 quart slow cooker. You can also use a 5-quart slow cooker, if needed.

What kind of peanuts should I use?

You can use either salted peanuts or unsalted peanuts. I like to use salted peanuts because it enhances that wonderful salty and sweet combo that I love.

Do I have to use almond bark?

Almond bark is easy to use, but you can also use white chocolate chips or white candy melts in its place. You could also use chocolate almond bark instead of white (vanilla) almond bark. Additionally, you can use semi sweet or milk chocolate chips if you want to change things up.

What else can I add to the candy?

Want to add some flavors and textures? Try using some mini marshmallows or crushed up pretzels. Using other festive sprinkles makes this an easy treat to make for holidays too.

How to store leftovers?

Leftovers should be transferred to an airtight container and be kept in the refrigerator for up to a week. You can use a piece of parchment paper in between layers. These are best when served at room temperature, so don’t hesitate to leave it at room temperature, just make sure the room isn’t too warm or the coating will melt. Also, these can be frozen for up to 3 months.
