Keto Candy! Your eyes are not deceiving you, I promise. With these amazing homemade sugar-free candy recipes, you can enjoy the sweets and still stick to your healthy keto diet.

Homemade keto candy is a great way to satisfy that sweet tooth without giving in to sugary temptation. This post is updated to include even more great sugar-free candy recipes!

I have a sweet tooth and I am not afraid to use it. Some people believe a keto diet should be entirely free of sweets and treats but I am not one of those people. For me, food is not only about sustenance, but about enjoyment.

Food is more than just fuel – it’s celebration and family and living life to the fullest.

A little bit of dessert at the end of the day is the ultimate form of self care – especially when that treat is sugar-free and keto friendly. And being able to indulge a bit here and there actually keeps me on track, rather than making me want to stray.

I know many of you feel the same way. My website wouldn’t be half so popular if that weren’t the case!

Why make your own keto candy?

So many of our modern celebrations and holidays revolve around candy, and it can be very hard to avoid. Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Easter… candy here, candy there, candy candy everywhere. Our kids get loads of it from school and friends, and even your office has a candy bowl.

If you have a major sweet tooth, having all that candy around can be a huge source of stress. You know that stuff is awful junk and so bad for both your health and your weight loss, but it’s calling your name. The siren’s call of temptation is hard to resist.

Well, you know what the best solution for that is? Making your own keto candy, of course! And if that’s not enough to convince, you…

  1. It’s easy! Most of these keto candy recipes are super easy to make at home, with no special ingredients or equipment.
  2. It’s less expensive. These days, there are plenty of pre-packaged keto candy options but they aren’t cheap. Making your own at home will save you some money.
  3. You control the ingredients. For me, this is one of the most important reasons to make my own candy. Too often, even “keto” brands add things that really aren’t that good for us.
  4. Make it any old time. No need to run to the store when you can whip up your own healthier candy recipes!

Love this, thank you! I don’t think the Strawberry Peeps Bomb link works, looks like the website expired. Have you tried to make Fantasy Fudge, the kind with marshmallow creme? That is my absolute favorite ever!

    Hi Carolyn,
I was wondering if you have ever had success in making Chewy Caramels? I made the ones by Fit Mom Journey in your list, and the flavor was so, so, good, however, even while following the directions exactly, mine burnt way before it reached the temperature in the recipe. You work so much with Allulose, I thought I’d see if you’ve ever tried it. Thanks for any help you might be able to give!

I own all of your books. They are very well written and east to follow. Everything I have done so far has turned out perfectly.
So my question is will or is the candy recipes already in a book that I can purchase or will it be in the future.

Thank you for all your help making our Keto eating be tasty.

    Hi Carolyn,
I have been searching for a hard candy recipe, that so far I haven’t found. When I say hard, I mean like a lemon drop. Something you can suck on for awhile. Something that might even crack a tooth! That is what I really miss. Can you come up with something, or do you know of something? Thanks so much!

Will one piece of candy kick me out of ketosis? ›

A bite from a candy bar? Yes, temporarily. High insulin levels kick you out of ketosis. But you may find that after an extended fast, where your body has become fat adapted, even after all a meal, your body may continue to produce ketones for a while.

Can sugar-free candy stop ketosis? ›

Though they're lower on the glycemic index than regular sugar, some sweeteners used in sugar-free candy, like maltitol and xylitol, can still have an effect on blood glucose, which means they might kick you out of ketosis.

How can I satisfy my sweet tooth on keto? ›

Satisfy your sweet tooth with keto-friendly sweet snacks like a small piece of dark chocolate or berries with cream. Look for a snack with some protein, if possible, and some fat. Even though you might be craving sugar, grabbing some keto-friendly berries might not be the best choice right before a workout.

Can I eat peanut butter on keto? ›

Peanut butter can definitely be part of a keto diet, but it's best to stick to plain options that are free of extra flavors and sweeteners. Almond butter is a good choice, too, and it's slightly lower in carbs. Additionally, you should be mindful of your portion size if you're trying to lose weight.

What is sweet and has 0 carbs? ›

Can you do keto 5 days on 2 days off? ›

Keto cycling doesn't have a strict definition. Some people choose to have five or six days on keto followed by a day or two off. Others will do keto for 10 to 12 days followed by three to four days off. Devine typically doesn't recommend taking more than two days off keto.

What chocolate can I eat on keto? ›

What is the best keto sugar substitute? ›

Stevia. Stevia is a natural sweetener derived from the leaves of the Stevia rebaudiana plant. Based on our first-hand experience, stevia is nearly 300 times sweeter than processed sugar.
