End of information on dragons, charity milestone
The folks at ArenaNet are leaving for their group vacation soon, but have given us a glimpse of what to expect when they return, including provisional information on future content.
Guild Wars 2 is currently going through the Champions Chapter of Living History as we take on Jormag’s Charr Champion and the Elder Dragon himself. To make matters worse, Primordus is on our doorstep as well, but that’s all content from the immediate future, unlike the image above.
Starting with the immediate future, the developers will reveal more about The Icebrood Saga: Champions, which will include details about Power, the next chapter in the story. Players weren’t exactly happy with Truce until now, so the next chapter will be quite a challenge to rekindle fans’ passion and interest in the story.
That said, the Champions Saga is an early prelude to End of Dragons, the next big expansion due in 2021, and many are writing about the lack of high impact content as the developers are primarily focused on bringing us Cantha.
On this note, ANand also revealed new concept art for the Canthan expansion
following the achievement of a charitable giving milestone by the community.
One of the images, seen above, shows a tree in Echovald Forest, the area where the Kurzicks reside. At first glance, this may not seem like a big deal, but tradition has it that after the Kurzick-Luxon War the Emperor absorbed both nations into the Canthan Empire, which could end up diluting or removing elements. culturally significant.
The image of the Kurzick tree containing what is believed to be one of their cathedrals tells a different story and we’re probably in for another visual treat as we explore Echovald Forest and the Jade Sea.
