Guild Wars 2 Fall 2021 Roadmap Includes WvW Revamp Beta
Guild Wars 2 is heading towards its massive End of Dragons expansion, but NCSoft and ArenaNet are not taking things lightly until its release. There are big plans for the next few months with ArenaNet outlining a full roadmap of events that will unfold from now until the arrival of End of Dragons.
There are a few notable events to watch out for in September. On September 21, players will be able to embark on the second Elite Specialization Beta and experience the latest forms of three other professions. A few days later, players can take a look at the next major evolution of World vs.World.
“Last month we confirmed that the WvW (aka Alliances) world restructuring feature is under development,” read Tuesday’s article on the Guild Wars 2 website. “Today, We are back to announce that we are targeting September 24 for the first week-long beta test of the system. We have a lot of work to do before that date. On August 31, we will be rolling out updates to our server infrastructure , especially servers that make world versus world possible. This new server code will run silently in the background for a few weeks, which will allow us to test the system with live player data. Ideally, you shouldn’t notice anything different in your WvW game during this time. “
Players will also be able to familiarize themselves with the stories of the Living World and the Icebrood Saga over the next few months, which should help them familiarize themselves with what is to come. The End of Dragons expansion will not only feature an epic new story, but it will add new features, like co-op mounts and fishing, to name a few.
Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons will be released in February 2022 for PC. We’ll be keeping an eye on Tyria for the latest updates, so keep it on Shacknews for more. You can also check the Guild Wars 2 website for more information on the game’s 9th anniversary plans.
