Episode 8 of The Bad Batch was arguably one of the best episodes in the series yet, as it eventually saw the Empire catch up with Clone Force 99.

Titled Meeting, the episode also saw the reintroduction of an infamous bounty hunter whose appearance didn’t bode well for Omega and the Bad Batch.

The episode ended on a dramatic cliffhanger that left fans hungry for more and keen to know the episode 9 release time.

Recap of episode 8

Episode 8 of The Bad Batch, titled Meeting, continues directly from the events of episode 7.

After a warning from the Scrapper’s Guild, the Empire sends a team of soldiers, led by Crosshair, to hunt down Clone Force 99.

It’s a clash that we know has been going on for several episodes and it takes all of Bad Batch’s skill and ingenuity to survive, using Bracca’s junk to their advantage.

However, as it looks like they are on the verge of escaping, our heroes are faced with an unknown (and very familiar to us) enemy bounty hunter Cad Bane.

He appears to have been sent to retrieve Omega by Lama Su on Kamino but the Bounty Hunter does not reveal who hired him in the Bad Batch.

Hunter does what he can to get in Cad Bane’s path, but it’s not enough as the bounty hunter knocks him out and takes the young clone.

Bad Batch episode 9 release time and potential plot

• Episode 9 of The Bad Batch premieres June 25 at midnight Pacific Time in the United States.

This translates to 3 a.m. ET in the US, 8 a.m. here in the UK, 12:30 p.m. in India, and 5 p.m. in Sydney, Australia.

Nothing was revealed about the next episode ahead of its release, but after Episode 8’s cliffhanger ends, we expect Episode 9 to see The Bad Batch attempt to find Cad Bane in order to save the captive. Omega.

How many episodes in total?

• Season 1 of The Bad Batch will consist of 16 episodes.

The 16-episode season length makes The Bad Batch season 1 four episodes longer than The Clone Wars season 7, which itself introduced us to the Bad Batch.

With Episode 9 we now move into the second half of the season, which means each new episode will likely raise the stakes as the finale draws near.

After The Bad Batch premiered on May 4, episodes hit Disney + every week on Fridays, with the 16th and final episode not due until August 13.
