Guild Wars 2 The End of Dragons Trailer
Featuring a spectacular crystalline dragon soaring above the skies of the newly unveiled Cantha, we are introduced to a mysterious protagonist who appears to be the spirit behind the brand new dragonjade.
New Map: Cantha
Our story will take place amidst the jade forests of the spectacular Cantha (first seen in Factions) and its coastal neighbor, the island of Shing Jea.
Inspired by traditional Asian culture, we can see characters donning colorful robes while riding on mounts of golden dragons. The sparkling ponds feature a plethora of green water lilies and cherry blossoms, while islanders can be seen fishing from spectacular barges (more on that later).
New class trait lines
Of course, what’s a new set without a slew of new trait lines? Traits are chosen from the game’s global classes, giving players the ability to tailor their playstyle.
Nine new lines will enter the competition, inspired by the magic and mystery of Cantha’s oriental style:
|To classify||line||The description|
|Elementalist||Catalyst||Catalysts have revitalized ancient techniques for channeling elemental forces – with a few modern enhancements, like their jade tech spheres.|
|Engineer||Mechanic||Nobody makes friends like a mechanic! They call the shots on the battlefield alongside their helpful jade tech battlebots.|
|Guardian||master of will||A Willbender’s bladework is unmatched and wielding a sword in his casual hand gives him additional opportunities for ruthless cuts.|
|Mesmer||Virtuoso||The Virtuoso hones the power of his mind into deadly psionic blades. Unlike the Mesmers’ traditional illusions, they wield them directly like magical projectiles.|
|Necromancer||Presage||A Harbinger does not kill cleanly, wielding a pistol to devastate enemies with noxious, corrosive bullets. These skilled alchemists developed elixirs to inflict the Blight upon themselves, converting their own pain into power. In Harbinger Shroud, they gain devastating abilities while suffering from Blight.|
|Tidy||Savage||The ancient forces of nature inhabit the forest of Echovald, and the indomitable channel these primordial energies through their bond with their pets.|
|Returning||Vindicator||Vindicator’s chain is the legendary alliance between mortal enemies to devastate their foes and protect their allies.|
|Thief||Spectrum||Specters are masters of shadow magic, using their specters to wield dark forces to strengthen allies and weaken foes.|
|warrior||Hired blade||Advances in Canthian technology resulted in a fusion of firearm and longsword: the cannon saber. Only Bladesworn can wield such a volatile weapon.|
Multiplayer battle mount
The Siege Turtle, Guild Wars 2‘s first-ever multiplayer mount, allows one player to control the turtle while the other devastates foes with the creature’s vast arsenal of heavy weaponry.
Fishing & Skiffs
End of Dragons finally introduces fishing to the game, along with a selection of tournaments that will pit the most avid anglers and women against each other.
Additionally, players will be able to purchase their own barges, called “Skiffs”, which you can use to quickly escape the mayhem of the land.
