Guild Wars 2: The Icebrood Saga Continues Today With “Balance”

Libra will introduce new factions, weapons, and even a flashback mission to Guild Wars 2.
Guild Wars 2 is slowly closing the Icebrood Saga, as today marks the start of its third chapter – Balanced. New missions, new weapons, and new factions mark the release, and you’ll also have the chance to step back in time and play a flashback mission as Braham Eirsson.
Libra is the third of four planned chapters of The Icebrood Saga: Champions, a multi-chapter Living World finale that has been evolving the world of Guild Wars for several months. Today’s chapter adds three new Dragon Response Missions to Caledon Forest, Bloodtide Coast, and Fireheart Rise, and will continuously feature new Factions through April 20.
“The elusive tengu may finally be ready to join forces,” reads the latest ArenaNet announcement. “Join a global faction mobilization event to equip your allies for battle on March 9, with three more events coming up on March 23, April 6, and April 20.”
Beyond the new factions, Braham Eirsson’s flashback mission seems to be one of the main draws of the new chapter. “Players can also step back in time and play an exciting flashback mission as Braham Eirsson on his journey to find the meaning of Owl Spirit’s prophecy,” ArenaNet announced. The single-player story mission will allow you to use Eirsson’s powers and skills in a dangerous new mission.

Along the way, you’ll be able to upgrade the Dragon Slayer Mastery line, earn new weapons from faction vendors, and upgrade your Dragon Slayer weapons to their final form.
To access Balance, you must have Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire.
Judgment, the fourth and final chapter of Episode 5, is slated to launch next month. Little is known about upcoming content, but expect it to bring Champions to a dramatic conclusion.
Guild Wars 2 was originally scheduled to launch on Steam last year, although its release was delayed so the team could focus on pumping out high-quality content – including the End of Dragons expansion. There is no doubt that there will be an influx of players when it finally comes to popular service, although they will likely miss out on the entire Champions saga.
