How to Get Roller Beetle Support in Guild Wars 2

By playing through Guild Wars 2: The Way of Fire, you will unlock four mounts throughout the story. These mounts will help you move quickly through the world and explore hard-to-reach places. In addition to these four mounts, you will be able to unlock the Roller Beetle.

To do this you must Complete the Forarmed is Forewarned story instance in the Domain of Kourna. This is a long instance involving scavenging a fortress alongside your allies.

When this story instance is completed, you will be at the Allied encampment in the domain of Kourna, and can start the journey to get a roller beetle.

From the allied encampment waypoint, head north until you come to a small area of ​​tents. Turn left and Go up some stairs until you come to another covered area with Gorrik, Taimi, and Blish.

Now you just need to talk to Gorrick to begin the next step in this process.

The second step to get a Roller Beetle is to complete the Success of Beetle Juice. Gorrik will ask you to collect 10 “medicine” for Petey, a beetle he is standing next to.


Nine of these juices will be scattered around the map, and Gorrik will give you the tenth once all the others have been collected.

Juices are in sets of three all over the map, so below you can check out the three main locations for needed juices. These items will be in caches but won’t be hidden, so you should be able to find them fairly quickly.

Crossing Kodonur

The first three bottles can be found around Kodonur’s Crossing. To get here, Head north from the Apizmic Grounds waypoint.

Arjok Farms

The next three bottles can be found around Arkjok farmland. You can get here by heading north from the allied encampment waypoint.

Bitterfly Bayou

The last three bottles can be found in the Bitterfly Bayou. To get here, just teleport to the Waypoint Apizmic Grounds.

After collecting all the juice bottles, Return to Gorrik and he will reward you with the tenth bottle. Now you will have to start collecting again for the third part of your Roller Beetle journey.

The Beetle Saddle requires you to collect nine items, but you’ll only need to search for seven. Once you bring back these seven items, you will be rewarded with the final two.

  • This is a hidden investigation lab built into the mountain in Dabiji Hollows.
  • Once inside the secret hideout, climb the red staircase and interact with one of the two lab terminals.
Seal of the Shadow Maker Complete any bounty in the Domain of Kourna
  • Bounties can be claimed from the bounty boards and completed with groups of other players.

    • Around the Lake of Wailing in Lornar Pass
    • Around the Thaumanova reactor in the province of Metrica
Plague Spacers Dropped by the Survey Golem
  • This can be acquired from Veteran Mark I Golem who spawns near the gates leading to Gandara in the Kourna Domain.
Spark of Anomaly Fallen from a legendary ley line anomaly
  • Telluric anomalies are events that occur in the following three locations.
    • Gendarmerie fields
    • iron steps
    • Timberline Falls
  • With a telluric magnetite, you will be able to see which area will contain the next anomaly.
Inverter Mk II Dropped from Inquest Golem Mark II
  • This is a world boss that spawns just north of the Old Sledge site waypoint in Mount Maelstrom.


After collecting these seven items, return to the allied encampment and talk to Blish. Here he will give you the finished saddle. Now, talk to Gorrick to complete this achievement.

Now you’re finally on the final step to getting your very own Roller Beetle mount! For the Beetle Feed achievement, you will need to complete a collection of eight objects; of the eight, you will only need to find seven.

  • This enemy is the easiest to find in the sulphurous rivers of The Desolation
Hearty Beetle Slime Dropped by the Alpha Beetle in the Silverwastes
  • The Alpha Beetle is an event boss that spawns in the Far Silverwastes.
  • This will show up on the map, but be sure to join a Silverwastes party in case others find this event first.
Desert Luciferin Purchase From Milin to Domaine de Kourna
  • You can buy Desert Luciferin from Milin with 50 inscribed shards.
  • This merchant will be near the Apizmic Grounds waypoint
Icy Wurm Goo Dropped by cave worms
  • Cave Wurms appear in Ntouka Pond in the Kourna Domain.

With all these elements put together, return to the allied encampment and interact with Petey the Roller Beetle. Doing this will complete Beetle Feed and be rewarded with your Roller Beetle mount!
